How is it that all of February has gone by and no post?? I’m consistently writing and sitting with Jesus… I mean daily and I haven’t shared the wonderful things He’s been doing in my life?!?
This really needs an apology to all those who read this blog. I’M SORRY! Please let me try to recap what was missed.
Last month we had a huge family emergency. My beloved uncle Shawn went in for a gall bladder surgery and had a massive heart attack. We were all devastated and quickly put out the prayer request. My family and I dropped everything and went over to Arkansas. We waiting for a week and Shawn didn’t even have surgery until I was on the way home. It’s been a roller coaster and is still going on. Please add my Uncle Shawn and Aunt Teonia to your prayer list. He’s had several minor surgeries and is fighting internal organ failure.
On a happier note, while we were in Arkansas our son and life group members went to an Empower Conference in Colorado. They have amazing testimonies of the movement of God! Goosebumps!! And our son, Anthony, has decided to be obedient to Jesus and go to bible college! He will be leaving the fire service and seeing where Jesus will take him!
This decision was after a power vision from Holy Spirit- one that answered Anthony’s question- what am I putting before You? In his vision he saw a throne with a fire helmet on it. After more meditation and praying, he then saw a lamb jump onto the throne and kick it off.
My husband is at odds with this decision, but that’s for another post.
Let’s talk about me :). Holy Spirit is always moving and giving me inspiration! We’ve been talking a lot about the fruit of the spirit. Found in Galatians 5:22- but the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long suffering, kindness, goodness and faith. I was really stumped on ‘long suffering’ it didn’t seem like a fruit- it doesn’t bring the same feeling as the rest. So, I brought it back to God and asked- what am I supposed to know about long suffering?
His answer was endurance. We all know that life isn’t easy- either path you take, life is hard. Long suffering is God’s way of showing us that it’s about endurance in the race to heaven. We will always have someone or something that we are inquiring His assistance with. If we continue to seek Him even in those seasons of waiting, we will have the rest of the fruits to empower us to keep on!
God is so good!
Jesus, thank you for bringing eyes to read this post. I pray the reader is blessed today with the fruits from Your Spirit. I pray that revelation comes to their hearts in the season and matter that they are seeking You in. Holy Spirit guide our thoughts today and every conversation that we may have. Show us a person to share You with. Empower us to be bold and take that step of obedience. We love and honor You. In your mighty name- Amen!
