Where did my faith go? I sit and ponder where my spirit has gone… 

Why do I not rejoice in the love of Jesus?

Why do my thoughts run to sin when I am listening to the Bible play?

Lord have you left me? Have you given all that you can to keep me in your grace and now have left…

Jesus I pray to you that you have not left me! I pray that you have more for me! I’m ready to surrender to you. I’m ready to feel your presence again Lord! Be with me now! 

Capture my thoughts and keep them, Jesus! Only you know the torment my mind is going to… an unjust place where sexual sin is a trap. A snare that entices me to play. If i know that Satan is such a uncreative spirit why do I fall for his tricks? Why does a small voice inside me tease that God will forgive thoughts…as long as I don’t say them out loud. 

This is just the trick that I continue to fall for… their only thoughts they can’t hurt me. Jesus won’t know what’s kept in the shadows. This is the lie I tell myself. But the truth is not far….

The truth that sin hides. Sin grows in dark places. Sin begins as small as a mustard seed… the same as faith. Which are you growing? 

Faith grows in day. Sin grows at night. Don’t fall victim to your past. Don’t give in to teasers, those promises are weak. The abundance is waiting for you….if you grow faith. 

Keep your mind on God’s love. Trust Him in your thoughts and actions. Pray He favors your path and keep to the light. Focus on Jesus. Jesus is love. He taught us to surrender, praise and follow. 

Do not be led astray. Stand firm in His promise. Fight for His love. He makes us strong in our weakness. 

The world doesn’t need more lies. More nudity. More harm. More addiction. It needs surrender and grace! 

If we believe that Jesus is our Savior- what harm is there? Why not believe that something good is coming? Why not believe that Love can come from all the hate in the world? Why not believe in a place of peace where you are surrounded by those who you have loved throughout your life? Why not…..

Have faith. Trust. Obey. 

Our attitudes need to change. WE need to learn that surrender is not weakness. That trust will not be lost. And the obeying is not unjust. We need to forgive our ancestors, overturn the thinking that slavery is a part of our future. God doesn’t want slaves he wants followers. He wants leaders to bring forth His people. He wants righteousness to win! And He will reward those who do the things that He asks. 

Simple? Yes. Easy no. Why do we always fall short of our destiny? Because free will! God gave us a choice…. 

He wants us to choose for ourselves which way our lives will go. Good vs evil. Depending on what choices you make that’s the promise you will live in.
